    Position Summary The Program Director is a strategic and visionary leader responsible for guiding the design, execution, and evaluation in compliance of Future of Us’ programs and community campaigns. This role is central to advancing our mission to cultivate bold Asian organizers and ensure that young Asian Americans are politically engaged, represented, and empowered to lead.

    The Program Director oversees three core program areas, including our community campaign initiatives, and directly manages up to four program staff. This includes coaching team members’ professional growth, setting performance expectations, and ensuring accountability to program goals and organizational outcomes.

    Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Director serves as a senior leader and key thought partner, shaping long-term program and campaign strategy while ensuring operational excellence in implementation. The role requires the ability to translate strategic vision into measurable impact, strengthen team performance, and align programmatic work with our mission, values, and community commitments.

    This position demands a balance of big-picture thinking, people leadership, and disciplined execution, alongside a deep commitment to youth empowerment, advocacy, and community building within Asian American communities.

    Salary & Benefits This is a full-time 40 hours/week, exempt, in-person position with some evenings and weekends required. Salary is $65,280 - $74,460 based on experience. Future Of Us upholds pay equity and economic justice through transparent compensation practices, cost-of-living adjustments every two years, and annual raises of 1–3% based on performance and budget.     Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Program Leadership & Strategy

    • Set and drive the long-term strategic vision for all programmatic and community campaign work, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and objectives.

    • Oversee the development and execution of annual community campaigns, holding full accountability for measurable outcomes, voter engagement targets, key policies and program impact.

    • Establish strategic priorities across issue advocacy, base-building, and organizing models, ensuring data-informed and effective community-driven approaches.

    • Define and enforce performance metrics for field operations, including voter engagement goals, volunteer activation benchmarks, and leadership development outcomes.

    • Ensure program implementation adheres to nonpartisan compliance standards and reflects best practices in community organizing and youth civic engagement.

    • Oversee the development of impact-driven communications that articulate campaign goals, progress, and outcomes to the public, stakeholders and partners.

    Department & Staff Leadership

    • Direct and manage the Program Department, ensuring compliance that includes staffing structure, resource allocation, operational systems, and budget oversight.

    • Supervise and develop up to four program staff, setting clear performance expectations and holding team members accountable to established metrics and timelines.

    • Cultivate a results-oriented, equitable, and collaborative team culture grounded in shared accountability and continuous improvement.

    • Lead department planning processes, ensuring alignment between strategic goals, daily operations, and organizational growth objectives.

    Evaluation, Learning & Organizational Impact

    • Design and institutionalize evaluation frameworks that measure short-, mid-, and long-term program impact, including quarterly and annual performance benchmarks.

    • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to assess program effectiveness and refine organizing strategies.

    • Present strategic insights, performance reports, and impact evaluations to senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.

    • Integrate participatory research and community feedback into program evolution and long-term strategy.

    Community Engagement & External Leadership

    • Serve as a senior representative of the organization in coalitions, partnerships, public forums, and media engagements.

    • Build and steward strategic relationships with community leaders, partner organizations, and key stakeholders to advance campaign objectives and strengthen political infrastructure.

    • Amplify the voices, priorities, and leadership of young Asian Americans in local advocacy spaces.

    Cross-Functional & Organizational Leadership

    • Partner closely with the Executive Director to shape organizational strategy, campaign positioning, and long-term growth planning.

    • Lead cross-departmental initiatives that advance institutional priorities and strengthen operational coherence.

    • Provide leadership on special initiatives that require cross-functional coordination and strategic oversight.

    Position Summary The Field Manager will manage, lead and coordinate all field team development efforts and implement an annual strategic plan that will build momentum to achieve civic and political change for Asian youth Minnesotans. This position will work closely with the Advocacy & Policy Manager, Program Director and across department teams as thought partners and collaborators to advance the organization’s engagement and mobilization efforts towards a vision of progressive systemic change that centers the social and political power of Asian youth Minnesotans. This position will manage the field team of canvassers and coordinate efforts with our issues on the ground. They will implement the daily operations of the field team to meet projected metrics. The schedule will be from 11 AM - 7:30 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Fridays with occasional weekends. Travel to professional development in and out of state is required and may include weekends.

    Essential duties and responsibilities:


    • Program/Project Management Manage, propose program designs, set-up, track and prepare logistics, materials, supplies, equipment for the canvassing team/program. Lead field-related meetings, logistics, scheduling, and create and maintain records, reports, and presentations. Support and develop compelling messages that resonate with our voter base and align with the organization’s vision and objectives. Conduct participatory action research, focus groups, surveys, analyzing data, and collaborating with stakeholders to understand our voter base and develop winning messages and narratives. Design a phone canvassing program that involves staff engagement, leadership and continuous program improvement while meeting overall programmatic goals and metrics on voter base interests and concerns prioritizing organizing issues. Coach and train canvassing team on messaging strategy, slogans, scripts and talking points. Coaching and supervising a team of canvassers in setting and meeting daily goals of phone calls and conversations.   Co-coordinate with Advocacy & Policy Manager on necessary community education and events to reach voters. Work with the Organizing Manager on coordinating volunteers to support canvassing efforts and meet goals. Assist in development of communication materials and best approaches to reach targeted audiences.


    • Data Management and Reporting Setup and coordinate Voter Action Network (VAN) and Getthru logistics such as phone lists and scripts, and plan and prepare materials and technology for canvassing activities such as phones, doors, and events. Conduct quality control for all voters and analyze and organize field data; and provide VAN training, compliance and access to staff and volunteers. Provide monthly and quarterly progress to goal reports to the Program Director.


    • Facilitation Lead growth and development of Future Of Us’s field organizing and canvassing plans and presence. Monitor and ensure the implementation of community engagement best practices, and non-partisan compliances with the organization’s standards, policies, and strategies and their duties as assigned.


    • Coalition and Base Building The Field Manager will identify opportunities and support in developing strategies to build relationships and cultivate partnerships with local organizations, decision makers, businesses, and associations that align and advance our multi-year strategies. An important aspect of this role is maintaining one on one relationships with your leadership teams, and providing clear directions, expectations, resources, and training.  

    Must Haves At least two years of relevant experience in project management, strategic planning, community outreach, civic engagement, research, and data management, or comparable education and related experience. Preferred qualifications include background in elections or campaigns, field organizing, data analysis, and nonprofit or public policy work, with familiarity with the Twin Cities—particularly Asian American, immigrant, and refugee communities. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills; proficiency in Google Suite and databases such as VAN or Every Action; and the ability to manage confidential data with sound judgment and accountability. Candidates must be equity-driven, able to work independently, flexible with evenings and weekends, available for statewide and occasional national travel, and possess a valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a vehicle.

    Position Summary The Organizing Manager will build power through leading collective organizing efforts, encouraging community members to take action for their community. Using grassroots movement strategies to empower and build momentum in a state of dire need to focus and come together on issues such as voting, reproductive health and other topics that are pressing, to simply encourage community conversations that are impacting us. This position will help carry the organization’s base-building efforts across department teams, organize campaigns and build alignment with other organizations. Research and evaluation will be key in driving our work, therefore, this position will provide guidance and implement background studies on campaign issues. The Organizing Manager will manage across, down and up while working in a structural organization of Managers and Directors helping to move our work forward. Project management and people management is key in this position while taking initiative, being a key decision-maker and problem solver in their day to day work. Working in collaboration on a team made up of a Field Manager, Advocacy & Policy Manager, Campaign Manager, a Communications Manager and a team of Canvassers - this position is one of the keys to the contribution of driving our work. The schedule will be from 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Fridays with occasional weekends.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Program and base-building

    • Support and lead our issues campaigns through organizing efforts, driving metrics and strategy, and implementing our multi-year field work and activities 

    • Setup and coordinate community events with key staff and volunteers to reach our overall strategic field goals 

    • Collaborate with the Field Manager, Campaign Manager, Advocacy & Policy Manager, Communications Manager to coordinate and lead organizing efforts to meet our program and advocacy goals 

    • Develop meaningful and mutually beneficial partnerships with organizations and communities to expand FUTURE OF US’s reach

    • Monitor implementation of community engagement best practices, and non-partisan compliances with the organization’s standards, policies, and strategies

    • Other duties as assigned 

    Data Evaluation

    • Coordinate, implement and evaluate participatory research studies on campaign issues.

    • Research on campaign issues to address and provide recommendations on campaigns

    • Data entry in Every Action and data management related to campaigns and community relationships 

    Community Engagement and Partnerships

    • Attend and participate in community events and activities 

    • Support and coordinate with Campaign Manager to build community leaders on the ground

    • Develop and sustain partnerships with coalition partners and community

    • Other duties as assigned

    Must have’s 

    • Field planning and logistics coordination in local neighborhoods 

    • Background and experience in election, campaign, data analysis, and field organizing including county and government officials 

    • Experience in implementation of strategic planning activities, management, and evaluation through an intersectional and equity lens 

    • Team building, and problem-solving skills, and ability to speak and facilitate in front of a group of people and the public 

    • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills (written and verbal) including ability to articulate progress, concerns, and recommendations in a concise and timely manner. 

    • Knowledge of and commitment to social and racial justice personally and professionally. 

    • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment, taking ownership and accountability, and initiative with minimal direction. 

    • Some evenings and weekends required to meet programming needs.
