FUTURE OF US - BOARD OF DIRECTORS

We're seeking passionate individuals to join our working board as At-Large Members. No prior board experience is required—just a willingness to learn and a commitment to Future Of Us' mission. Board members act as ambassadors, help steer the direction of the organization, and work collaboratively to strengthen our impact and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend monthly and quarterly board meetings and occasional special events

• Review materials and contribute to decision-making

• Serve on committees and support strategic initiatives

• Actively engage in outreach, fundraising, and partnership-building

• Uphold fiduciary responsibilities with support from staff and the Treasurer

Ideal Candidates

• Passionate about the mission and values of Future of Us

• Effective communicators and collaborators

• Community-minded, with leadership potential

• Fundraising or legal knowledge is a plus, but not required

We believe in breaking through barriers within our communities and in how we engage the broader public. We are courageous, confident, and forward-thinking, balancing diplomacy with bold action. At our core, we are storytellers, movement builders, and advocates who ask hard questions and seek solutions that drive lasting impact.

From past Census outreach efforts, to electoral outreach, to youth participatory action research on abortion access, to popularizing ethnic studies and its advocacy, Future Of Us has been and continues to be part of a broader multi-racial, cross-generational effort to build a community for us all.

Future Of Us is continuously growing and to help steer this growth, we're looking for more Board Members to lead the vision of Future Of Us for the next two years!
